Lots of online stores pay commission to 'partner' or 'affiliate' sites who refer traffic to their web sites. So, when you see adverts for Amazon (for example) on web sites that you may visit, if you click on the ad and subsequently purchase goods from Amazon, the site that hosted the advert that directed you there will get commission on the transaction.

There is a charitable company that has been set up to act as an advertising and commission host for sports clubs and similar organisations. If you go to a specific web address and follow the advertising links then we get the commission passed on to us. It's free to us, you still pay the same price at Amazon that you would have done in any case and the club gets a contribution back from the purchase price.

There are a range of stores available through the scheme including Marks and Spencer, Index, MFI, Comet, Amazon, Cotton Traders, AA, RAC, Littlewoods, NTL Broadband, Norwich Union and many, many more. If you don't want to use them then no harm done, but if you do use them then we get to benefit.
